What's the oldest postcard in the world? Well, a novelist by the name of Theodore Hook sent it as a practically joke in 1840. The front features a cheeky caricature of the postal system and there is a Penny Black stamp on the back. The Penny Black stamp came out in 1840 and is the world's first adhesive stamp used in a public postal system.

  • Those are very beautifull vintage postcard at the begining of you're video. Wow, $50,000 for the 1840 postcard! Thats nice. I understand that the stamp alone, the Penny Black stamp is extreemly valuable.
