This is my first attempt to make a song in the new Korg DS-10. Before making this, I fiddled a little bit with the controls to familiarise myself with it, then started a new project making this song. I'm very pleased with how it turned out, and I show you what you can do with this piece of software!

  • Just opted to buy DS-10 Plus after playing with Rytmik from DSi ware for a while. To hear a song this good is encouraging.

  • dude that was awesome u should try making the song canyon rock that would sound cool

  • The primary purpose of Finale/Sibelius is for music notation, whereas the Korg DS-10's is for sound synthesis and performance, so they are used for different things. If by sound technology you mean technology which is used to create and perform music, you'd rather get the DS-1. But if you plan to write music for musicians, Finale/Sibelius are very good for printing neat scores.

  • (you can see and hear some songs made in it here on youtube, my profile included)

  • I don't think this software is a good start point for music theory, because its too limited. However, its a great tool(game) to make music in. It is powerfull and if you understand how it works, you also understand basic synthesis. I have no knowledge of Finale/Sibelius, so I cannot compare it to that. If you want to begin with a music program, try MODPlug Tracker. Its easier to learn, even easier to get started with, and its free too. :)

  • Is this DS software a good beginning point (in sound tech) for a high school student like me who wants to major in Music Theory/Composition? Would you consider this something that would be harder to use than Finale/Sibelius?
