A Humber College student had her film accepted into the well-known Toronto International Deaf Film and Arts Festival (TIDFAF), which profiles one woman's battle with schizophrenia and the steadfast dedication of her sister.

Amanda Richer, a second-year Film and Television Production (FMTV) student, directed the eight-minute documentary Marianne Matters with a crew of students. The film focuses on two women, Jennifer and Marianne. Marianne has battled schizophrenia all her life, and her sister is the one who looks after her.
