Mario del Monaco (1915-1982). Born in Florence, del Monaco was an Italian tenor and is regarded by his admirers as one of the greatest tenors of the 20th Century. He was internationally known for his powerful, metallic voice, earning him the nickname "brass bull of Milan."
Here he sings 'Nessun dorma' from Puccini's Turandot. This is a studio recording.

GRan Mario del Monaco¡ pero esta no creo que sea su mejor version del Nessun dorma, en concreto prefiero la de DECCA del 59', la voz mas fresca y no tan obscura como aqui. De todas forma, MDM siempre lo hace portentoso. Corelli es el otro grande en poderio vocal.

Guys, are you OK? FLAT????? The BEST Nessun Dorma EVER! His B flat is more valuable than 100 high Cs of other singers together!
