It's hardly a naive description.
It's pretty obvious that from Crimes on the Blood Brothers were hell bent on tapping into the hipster market to levels unknown.
And this song sounds like it could be a Neon Blonde song... not even joking (though my description was a bit sarcastic) ...either way if you compare their early material to what they were putting out before they split it sounds like two completely different bands...
