Ryan Phillippe on His Kids Making Him Cry and Playing a Villain in The Lincoln Lawyer

Ryan Phillippe's The Lincoln Lawyer is out this Friday and we sat down with the actor to talk about everything from playing a villain in the film to how emotional his kids can make him. Ryan also revealed that while he didn't know Matthew McConaughey before making the movie, Ava and Deacon had met him through Reese Witherspoon's fiancé, Jim Toth. Ryan also joked that he and MM have a lot of interests in common — football and fitness among them! He shows off an intense side in the film and enjoyed getting to play a character with some questionable morals. Check out our interview and what Matthew had to say about a possible sequel.

@zephariacallisto But what she said at the MTV movie awards was so true. She earned that award and deserves that spotlight unlike people who choose to make their way to fame by partying on a reality show , making a sex tape ect. She said that to teach young girls you can have a great successful career without doing something shameful. Reese is an amazing actress just as Ryan is :) I agree with you about Ryan though, have always loved his acting!

Honestly, with the comment that Reese made at the MTV movie awards, I can see why he cheated on her. She's a bitch. I think Ryan has chosen well for his career and looks at it as his job to support his kids. Reese looks at it because she wants to be in the spotlight. I think she's a bitch. She's judgemental. And she's very much a diva. Ryan isn't sad in this video. He's calm like he always is. I think someone needs to knock Reese off her fucking high horse and run over her.
