@BigUriel Ok, thats what i was saying... i think you misunderstood me, but its torque at the wheel that comes first... you can technically perform a burnout with lots of torque and average power, with the right set up of tires etc, itll just be short, the power the wheels hold is as a result of the torque, as you say.. that's what i was getting at... yeah?

@blingsta666 What you say is true, but your mistake (and the one everyone makes) is to think that engine torque = wheel torque, which is false, as transmissions convert torque to angular speed and vice versa (depending on gear ratio), while POWER is the only thing that remains unchanged (excluding losses). More power available, at any given vehicle speed, means more torque at the wheel, regardless of engine torque, because POWER=FORCE*SPEED (force being the result of wheel torque).
