I was at this race. Jeff Gordon's 50th win and i remember Jeremy Mayfield got the pole but got disqualified and got the pole taken away from him! This almost never happens it was b/c he had an illegal octane grade fuel in his car..a higher one than normal which gave him more horsepower. I can also remember Darrell Waltrip had the slowest car #66 and every time he would drive by there was this fan sitting in front of me cheering him saying "GO darrell comon!" and he was like 20 seconds behind lol
