This is a documentary of my Senior Project at Germantown Friends School - copied from the 1977 original. I had to divide it into three parts. At Paquara Ranch, I was instructed in riding and horse handling (breaking & starting green horses) according to the Monte Foreman method. My one dream in life was to be able to ride any horse; just get on and ride, and be able to get along with any horse by the simplest communication. So it seemed like I walked right into that at this horsemanship school. I credit the Ranch and Ron McLoughlin with giving me the most useful foundation that I could ever have asked for. You can still find this training, and you can reach Ron McLoughlin at http://hornedmranch.googlepages.com/.

  • thanks so much for posting this. i learned to ride from an instructor who also uses monte foreman's methods and she taught me so much. i wish there were more videos of his teaching available. do you still ride?

  • I can't believe I found this video. I am a GFS grad, I spent the summer of 1973 at Paquara Ranch, and today was wondering if it was still in existence. This is where googling got me.

  • Enjoyed the video. Very educational.

Hope you put on parts 2 and 3.

    Thanks for sharing.
