@WilliamNaville Sigh! If you do not like it then don't install it. It is that simple.
You do not need to install a new OS everytime one comes out. Do you feel that your current OS is outdated? Do you need a new one so that is strokes your ego?
They have been in the same rut for years. You cannot blame them for doing something different for a change. If the so called power user doesn't like it then it is their loss.

@WilliamNaville although I'm not as angry as you, I do agree that this interface is of no use on a desktop or laptop. I can totally see how the new start menu and slide-in gestures are convenient on tablets though. Since this is just a preview especially for tablets, I'm sure they will add options and functionality for use on non-touchscreen devices. About the 'desktop' app: I don't see how this is useful on tablet devices. They might as well lose it altogether for tablets.

What a load OF Bullshitl...the way you navigate makes me crinch...they have totally fucked everything up...i am guessing they have put twelve people in a white room and let them make up stupid shit while forgotten their homebase Powerusers...if we want a slick os i would have installed macosx (wich iam seriously contemplating on doing right now)Tablet architecture on desktops....fkng morons...sorry for the rage but this is making my balls shrink
