as much as I love Ricky's singing, and his version of this, I can't argue against praise for Jim Reeves, one of the best singers in any genre.

It is off a double Country vinyl album Ricky did, I'll guess, in the 70's........... I got it at a used record sale, can't remember the title, but it had a bunch of great song......., I gave the album away after I recorded it to Cassette, remember those?......... later I loaded it into my song files on my computer, I have been told it is out on CD now.

@hofnerbass24 I agree 100%, Jim Reeves, and Ricky, are two of my favourite singers, and Ricky could do a country song as well as anyone. I feel I was so lucky growing up in the era of both of them, and loved their singing.

Very nice. A great rendition of this beautiful Jim Reeves classic. Rick Nelson was so underrated. He was so talented, he could sing anything.

Why does ever song have to have people posting remarks about another artist version they think is better? It is not a contest, just listen and enjoy and post commets on that particular artist. Rick is fantastic, Jim Reeves version is fantastic .

Thanks for posting these country songs, by Rick. Rick & I were very good friends & dated from 1979-1982. We talked, in person, 3 months before his death. I miss him dearly.

You are so welcome, and lucky to have known him. Such a talent he was, he is one of the best ever. I loved his Rock n' Roll, It's such a loss unfortunately, his great Country music contribution was only in it's early stage.
