Before the guns of August, there were the maneuvers of July.
Less than one month before Russia's armed forces entered Georgia on August 8, they held massive military training exercises in the North Caucasus involving 8,000 servicemen and 700 pieces of military hardware.

  • Whats the reason for the court case. You get executed as a spy when you get caught wearing your enemies uniform.

  • Being caught in a Russian uniform ensured his fate as a combatant...The orders were to "kill him", rest assured it was done. Good riddance Muslim scumbag.

  • What about the Russian warcrimes in Chechnya ??? Why Russia doesn't want to grant Chechnya full independence, like they offer to Ossetia and Abkhazia ?

  • Who bombed first? Georgia did!

  • what was the author persuing by pulling out old stories? justification of georgian agression? condemnation of russians for fending georgians off? don't know. but it stinks.
