Just finished listening to "American Top 40 - The '70s" with Casey Kasem, & this was the #1 song for the week ending January 8th, 1977! Great singing & songwriting never go out of style! "You Don't Have To Be A Star" knocked Rod Stewart's "Tonight's The Night (Gonna Be Alright)" out of the #1 position (where Stewart's song held for the seven previous consecutive weeks in the top spot)!
