Alan Vega is definitely a New Yaw-ker. I'm from Boston a ''college town''. I'm struck by the fact that New York is HARD and harsh not like warm and friendly college campuses. He's articulate and Alan and Martin Rev have got courage and conviction to have started 'Suicide' (in New York) in the 70's. I dig the light ''clusters'' Vega seems to be doing. Simple yes, but poetic in their way. Also having wasted some years at art school myself I know what he means about the ''changing color'' canvas!
