Here's my issue, I dont' deify someone who has it all and can't handle it so they piss it away. Everybody shits their pants worshiping Morrison. Yes, when the Doors started he was great and they got him to get it together in the studio to make some of the best music ever recorded. But at the end, he was far from the enlightened god everybody wants to say he was. Mind altering is permanent. I doubt he could hold a thought in his final days after what he did to himself. I'll bet it all that before he killed himself he said "Shit, I've fucked it all up and can't get it back".
