I just got these two days ago...they are virtually painless...just a little uncomfortable to eat but no need to take pain killers or anything. I have mine for an overbite, crowding and crossbite..

no crowding i don't think. but my teeth are uneven and full of gaps and the gaps are uneven as well

and i have an overbite :)
