  • what a true poet. his ability to tell a story that can touch such a wide variety of fans is impeccable. Thanks to my Dad, I've had the privilege of listening to this legend for 27 years!

  • Tom can do no wrong. What a real talent. LOVE

  • @boognish86 I agree, been one of my favorites since the first time i heard it!

  • my fiancee played this for me when we firsted started dating, it touched my heart, the lyrics hit clear to the soul.... he's in the army so alot of lyrics fly back in forth between us just expressing how much we love each other, Im usually good at getting him with the songs but he sure won that roud with this one!

Great song! I love Tom Petty I grew up on his music my mom loved "free falling"......

  • To:boognish86-This album is hard to find, if you notice Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are always around when you need them. Radio or not you know this song came to you, not you to it.

  • My favorite Petty song-just beautiful!!

  • The perfect song

  • @tnboltsfan56 Yep, that's the film. Unfortunately, a bunch of unhappy coincidences let one of Petty's best albums fly under the radar: it was released a few years too late for any tracks to appear on Greatest Hits, it was a soundtrack album rather than a standalone release, and the movie to which it was attached was considered a critical disappointment (the worst thing that ever happened to Edward Burns' directing career was making The Brothers McMullen first). Aaanyhoo, gorgeous song :)

  • This song makes me wanna hold my kids.

All 3 of them at once.
