Presenter Brendan Balfe is the final voice heard on RTÉ Radio 1 on medium wave as the transmitter closes down for the final time. This is the last tune played on the service, which closed down at 15:00 on 24/03/08.

You can receive RTE Radio 1 on 252kHz LW(if your car-radio can get it).

its gone? I was wondering cos the last few times ive looked for it and couldnt get it.... The F.M. in my car radio's banjaxed
