Carl Flesch

Between 1890 and 1894 Flesch was a student of M.P.J. Marsick at the Paris Conservatory. Following 1895 Vienna appearance he became a teacher t the Bucharest (1892 -- 1902) and Amsterdam Conservatory (1903 -- 1908). His next career station was Berlin followed by Baden-Baden. In 1934he moved back to Amsterdam, later on to London, and finally moved to Luzern in the Swiss Alps. He was the teacher of the famous violinists Henryk Szeryng and Ida Haendel. He publishes numerous monographs about the methodology of violin playing.
