The Buzz talks about the rumored Twilight TV series

I tried to get the most important words. So when the hosts were kind of getting off the subject I kind of skipped it. If you'd like to know what they said, just comment.

Rough translation:
December 23 in the article of Entertainment Editor Edgar Cruz in the Buzz Box of YeHey.com was the first place that brought the news that ABS-CBN will be doing the Pinoy version of the hit movie Twilight. This is the first movie from the series of vampire novels by Stephenie Meyer. In the article it says it will star Rayver Cruz as Edward Cullen and Shaina Magdayao as Isabella Swan. It will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. And it will start in February.

After the news came out, in the famous Hollywood Entertainment site of PerezHilton.com came the photoshopped pictures of Rayver and Shaina for the movie poster of Takipsilim, which was said to be the Pinoy adaptation of Twilight. This was not liked by the Twilight fans and there were different negative reactions from Twilighters.

Rayver: I was surprised. They said, Bro youre gonna do Twilight, the Filipino version? Look, look at the internet. Theres a lot. So I looked at it and it was there. There was a picture of me and Shaina of the real Twilight.

Shaina: They really photoshopped us because the picture that was there of me was from the press release of my debut. They cropped it and photoshopped it and put it on the picture of Bella. So I knew it wasnt true.

Last Tuesday, December 30, there was an official statement from ABS-CBN and they proved false the news from the internet. (The statement from ABS-CBN is then said in English)

Host 1: So, Boy, what was the official statement from ABS-CBN?

Host 2: That it is not true. So, its clean. But I wanted you to comment.

Host 1: I wish, though Rayver and Shaina. Are they dating?

Host 3: Who is going to be the—

Host 2: Shaina and John Prats are going out.

Host 3: If its Twilight, who is the vampire?

Host 1: Didnt you watch the movie yet?

Host 3: Of course, I did. Did you?

Host 1: No!

Host 2: Why are you asking whos the vampire?

Host 3: Because they said it was like Twilight, it might become

Host 2: It might be different.

Host 3: Twilight Zone!

Host 2: No, I wanted to say that Twilight has a cult following. They are very serious. Thats why there were a lot of negative reactions from the news.

Host 3: Cult cult following

Host 2: Do you know what a cult is?

Host 3: Its like a culto. (Note: This is a play on words. If I understand this joke correctly multo is Tagalog for ghost so she just put those words together)

Host 2: They reacted because they didnt want it. And we understand that.

When the news came out I was rather hesitant. If you have seen any of our fantasy shows then you know that Twilight wouldn't be that good because of the effects. However, the actors would have been pretty good. I'm a big fan of Rayver and Shaina so if they were to make a TV series with those two I would have been able to watch it.

uhmmm... isnt twilight a book??? not a movie.. so does it mean they copied it from a book???... why are u blamin filipinos for copyin it (if its true) if d movie is copied from a book?? does this mean nobody makes an ORIGINAL MOVIES anymore since most movies that d U.S. makes are from books or even copied from asian movies??!?!?

That's true, it is based on the book. I don't believe we're blaming them for anything. However, we haven't had the best record with special effects. I'm a big fan of Rayver and Shaina and I would have defended the show with all my heart if the rumor had been true. But unless the Philippines can dish out good special effects then I doubt it will ever happen.

Oh My Gosh! When will Philippinos ever make their own?! Its bad enough they get to copy Twilight Why does this always happen?? I will definately not watch this! I mean how could i watch something copied? Its no good.I love the original version. It is 100% BETTER than this.And the books are 1,000,000% BETTER than this! I feel bad because I am a Philippino. I respect my culture, But i definately do not appreciate copying something that was already made!

A little note... the country is spelled with PH. As in, the Philippines. But the people are spelled with an F. As in, the Filipinos. I never really understood that, but that's how it is.
