I remember the days when Channel 9 was the only one which ran 24/7. I think ABC went overnight on weekends with the RAGE show.

You think 1994's late to still be having closedowns?! That's early compared to us Poms, lol! BBC1 finally stopped closing down for the night in September 1997, when they started handing over to their news channel, BBC News 24 instead of playing the anthem and shutting down for the night!

I would rather have a collection of test patterns like this, or would like to view these than the BS Hope Shopping shows banging on about acne treatment, bras, or steam mops. Channel 7 is the worst offender with Home Shopping, while 10 is the worst with cooking shows.

Surprise that ADS 10 still closed down back in 1994, but it's nothing to WIN Television in SA, they didn't start 24 hour broadcasting until late 2003.

even Southern Cross Ten in regional Victoria was 24 hours in 1994. They (+ Channel 10 in Sydney & Melbourne) usually showed a late movie at 2am, then Prisoner at 4am and General Hospital (before it went to Foxtel) at 5am.

I am surprised Australian channels were closing down overnight in 1994. New Zealand TV1 and 2 went 24 hours late in 1994 and we are usually behind the rest of the word with this sort of thing.
