@smiles1969able not everyone can have a large piece of land to grow their own food. My grand mom was a survivor of WWII in the Philippines when the Japanese and Americans leveled Manila during the battle. Her gold and silver jewelry inheritance was kept her family alive by trading pieces of it to farmers in the country side for food and supplies.
