Automatic Crash Response is a lifesaver. I was in a frontal side crash in my Escalade when the unavoidable happens, no airbag deployment but the system goes into along beep then an automated message comes on (I can't remember what it said) then the emergency advisor is on the line immediately. If you don't respond within 5-seconds, he/she will send EMS right away.

hopefully we will never have to use this feature in our '09 Silverado. but it is comforting to know that it is there just in case.
