@Crockerish There were 2 Lombardo biographies written, one in 1966 and in 1975. Pretty sure they both mention that Rose Marie was with the band for only about 6 months, in 1943. Her sister Elaine married Kenny Gardner.

Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadians were my parents favorite band. (I don't think it was just because my dad was from Canada. ;) They had seen them several times while the band was on the road and came through town.

@sydanddi1 I hope you got my previous reply. I was saying that I'd searched to find out who was singing a song I'd heard in a movie and found that it was Rose Marie Lombardo. Sadly, I also found that she'd passed away. I'd so hoped to track her down and tell her how much I loved "Sleep Baby Sleep." Also, my drummer has played with the current touring Guy Lombardo orchestra when they've played in Alabama.

Rose Marie passed March 16 2011 with children at her side in Whitehouse Ohio. RIP Rose Marie

Ahhh... brings tears to my eyes. I'm sure she is happy, where ever she is - it's her nature to be so.

Rosemaries sister Elaine married Kenny...Elaine never sang with the band..
How do I know this? I'm Rosemaries daughter Diane.

I love Lombardo"s music and I did know that Guy"s sistor Rose Marie did sing with the band early on,so it was just a wild guess but at first thaught Francis Langford.

@Crockerish I just pulled out the record and indeed you are correct! Although, they have her name listed as "Rose Marie" Lombardo. Good ear.
