January 1971. This alternate mono version of the B-side to "Another Day" featured some extra 'gun-shots' and distinctive McCartney vocals. The other version was released as a single on 19th February 1971. "Another Day" and "Oh Woman, Oh Why" were not originally released as part of a Paul McCartney album, they were released as bonus tracks on later editions of "Ram".
This is clearly the BEST McCartney vocal ever...up there with Old Siam and Beware My Love, but the Mono vs of this song rocks. This version with its lovely skips is off the Artifacts Box Set Bootleg and THERE ARE NO EXTRA GUN SHOTS. That is what they tell you on the Bootleg...BS...The best part of the Mono Gem is at 2:30 extra breathing-the drums and bass are also out front the this mono gem.

What a pic of Paul there...his worst look, mullet and moustache I can stand separately, but together. Eick.
