This animation depicts the chemical reaction which causes bioluminescence in marine dinoflagellates. I created it using Autodesk 3ds Max and Adobe After Effects.

  • excellent video - explains the process clearly, so very useful for my revision! Just one thing - the organelles where the reactions take place are called scintillons not scintillions.
