This is Konno (and Butoh dance) at his finest: primal, occult, scary, absurd, transcendent, other-worldly, honest, controlled, strong, spontaneous, graceful, gimmicky, and inventive, at once. We the viewer get to sit safely behind the lights, in our protective darkness, as the "dance of darkness" and dancer build and unfold with the music, out of the silence, out of the stillness, out of the darkness, and into ourselves. Very impressive performance!
