  • Time to stop focusing on the attribute of what dyslexia is. Dyslexia is not a problem it is however an inequality for mainstream education. Too often there is more negativity placed on the disorder. Look at what is positive, not the reasons for being different. Education only helps those who fit the system. Dyslexia has abilities and is not a disability. Computers will help the dyslexic mind develop so you can adapt.

  • So are video games bad for add and dyslexia?

  • I'm dysgraphic :(

  • @19LouiseBrennan you are luky to a point you were diagnosed at a young age i was only diagnosed in my last year of my edumercation and teachers use to say i was slow but the was in there mind because i was left handed so i know how you feel

  • I can read normally(not super fast) but i find it hard to spell because in my mind there are allot of ways to write 1 word but..there is only 1 correct.

  • I am getting really pissed off with my teachers, I have dyslexia, inparticualr disgrapia and all the teachers know but yet they still always have a go at me and say I couldn't read ur writing, even when I can read it just fine!!

  • my old history teacher use too fail me all the time because he coun't read my hand writing and he didn't look at it any more he just give me a 70. then he made me read it out loud and i was like in my head (dame why me) watch i did but i readed it slow, yes it was in my own hand writing but i was think about the other people and what they will think of me...then he said to me all the time, see (my name) you can;t read your own hand writing.so y should i give u a good grade.

  • for years my teacher would say to me "stop using Dyslexia as an excuse for bad hand writing" which made me cry a lot , i was only around 9 when i was diagnosed with Dyslexia , all those years before that teachers called me lazy , messy , unorganized, needs to try harder even when i was trying so hard! but when they found out they treated me so different , and made it obvious that i had trouble spelling ! and on top of this i have neurofibromatosis. i get extra help outside school and everything

  • OMG, I was diagnosed at a very age it has been since college I have had ny outside refernce on the subject. All I can say is wow everything you said is spot on however I can honsetly say there is no percentage differnce in all the forms I do them all equal. PS the only thing I can added to anyone with out knowledge of the subject is you lrean to cope as well as you can it's not like it just started on day you are born with is so you see and feel no differnt

  • I have Dyslexia of two types the most common to types and a type of Dyslexia called Irlen's Syndrome. I also have Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia. The Dyscalculia is the one that effects me the most severely and then my Dysgraphia is nearly as severe as the Dyscalculia. I have overcome my Irlen's Syndrome through the use of Irlen's Lenses and out growing the severity of the symptoms for the most part. It is good that I out grew the severity of my symptoms, because I lost my Irlen's Lenses awhile ago.

  • @stefanlicht Same if anything i have the second one and the third one. But kids with dyslexia have actually greater intelligants then this (excuse me for my miss spelling) I actually get things really good. I can understand more of things. I can't really explain stuff good but still. Dyslexia is a gift not a curse
