THE PAYNE IS UNBEARABLE!!!

My first model in trainz where I have created the model and the bogey by myself. Well, Paul Hobbs' tutorials helped my out a lot, and Cheers Wildnorwester for giving me the tip about animdist.

I suppose he doesn't look that bad though he's a bit on the tiny side. And there's not a lot of detail on him. For those of you wondering about the title, I modelled Thomas after illustrations by Reginald Payne (Dalby did not illustrate the book Thomas the Tank Engine)

There are a few things wrong at the moment, such as there being no enginesound (I'll get a dummy bogey and enginesound from the DLS for now) and the smoke is going the wrong way (Have to rotate the smoke attatchment)

To me he reminds me of a mix between UKBL's Thomas and John Fowlis' Old MSTS Thomas model.

What do you think about the model? What the best part and what's the bit you'd have improved first? feel free to say anything about the model.

looks alright, nice to see you got the bogey working. even if it is a bit small, and has one or two texture errors, it's a good attempt - we all start somewhere!

@sixbluewheels Thanks, that means a lot to me! the boiler's texture looks a bit strange because I tried to add a fake sheen before I added reflection maps to the model. I think I'll get rid of it though.

@TheTrainmaster97 Thanks, I have made Model engines in Gmax in the past, (i.e. Scruff) but this is the first one that I made the entire item, with wheels and everything.

@fraynster No, it's my own custom model. Reskinning MSTNoodle stuff is morally wrong and may result in a ban orwarning level from Si3D's forums and a bad reputation.
