R1155 Receiver. This video relates specifically to a type 13 slow motion tuning drive problem with an R1155 receiver, nothing else, if you don't have one please don't bother watching it. The R1155 is a ~70 year old receiver (radio) as fitted into a Lancaster bomber.

I couldn't find any help on the web so I've made this to help others.

Good luck and Kind Regards ...Andy gw0jxm

  • Thank you, if you think that was interesting go and have a look at Richard McWhorte's channel at "AllAmericanFiveRadio."

I’ve been in electronics most of my life but I love the way Richard talks you thorough the various topics that he covers but be warned... you'll get hooked!

Also get his Free eBook "The Vacuum Tube Short Wave Radio" Understanding and Trouble shooting. It’s all on his channel.

I'm sure this man has done more for vintage radio than most of us.

    Kind Regards ...Andy gw0jxm

  • Hi , i don't own a radio of this type but i found your video very interesting and instructive to watch.

It's nice to see people like you bringing those radio back to working order, even if you don't have any diagrams or schematics, you got it to work properly. Congrats.
