  • You're review was insightful. But you kind of shoot yourself in the foot by claiming the book sells well in Latin America because they're all simple rural folk. A very western thing to say that did not add to your already good critique.

  • @SunBlueSkyRed That is not what I say. I have lived in Latin America for 6 years, and do not believe that. What I said was that it is a predominately Catholic region and Coelho appeals to Catholicism in this book.

  • You lost me when you said that Christians use recruitment tactics to get the poor. We spread the word of God to everyone but the choice is yours. So please talk what you know properly. So I wonder with this video who are you trying to recruit with your believes about this book!

  • @Gdrapes For every thumb down or negative comment on this video, I am donating $1,000 to dinosaur research.

  • Good book review!!!

I actually liked the book and found it uplifting but I enjoyed listening to your views and found them very realistic.

  • @blitzblutz Thanks!

  • you doing criticue and naming the video 'why i hate pc'? you are just sad hater.. review you feelings first! and you critique is full of pity.. ia m really sorry 4 u!

  • don't need to be a psychologist to see how you project your imperfections on pc. really shallow and pointless critique. you have no idea what the book is about and you don't have imagination. although you are very articulate so maybe u should use this tallent of yours to more creative tasks x

  • dumb bitch: "Santiago starts off just wanting to travel, of course no profit required. But it doesn't for-fill him" - Santiago: "every blessing ignored becomes a curse. I don't want anything else in life. But you are forcing me to look at wealth and at horizons that I have never known. Now, I'm going to feel worse than I did before you arrived. Because I know the things I should be able to accomplish, and I don't want to do so.” - please, don't judge an entire author on some miss-judged ideas

  • Also your points are completely fabricated. you said that the book is incoherent on whether you have control over your own life - "At a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what's happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That's the world's greatest lie" "READ THE FUCKING BOOK BITCH.

  • you take the books messages way to literally, lighten up. This isn't suppose to be a second bible. It doesn't preach its ideas, it doesnt take readers out of their comfort zone, it doesnt even say that "becoming an alchemist" is the right way to live (crystal merchant). Your critique manipulates Coelho's words and makes him sound like a missionary rather than an inspirational Author.

  • i watched this video again and i realise you are such a stupid bitch.. i meet people like this in my life and at the begining i was trying to treat them with love as people like did receive enough of it. but it doesn't work.. you will be even more eveil - seriously people!! try it! the more loving you are to bitches like this the more mean and unbearable they are!! but when u treat them like rugh they seemed tamed.. in anyway they are the poisonous part of society which you would prefer avoid!!

  • @TheHumanFiction Get off your high horse, and please, show a proof of your donation totaling 16,000.

  • Very well stated, logical and methodical criticism of the book. Perhaps too snarky, If you cut out seeking the divine, and experiences that transcend you are eliminating a lot of literature and art.

Your comment about Latin America is completely erroneous. You may want to check your own facts here, the largest cities in the Western Hemisphere are Latin American countries I think 6 of the top 10 metropolitan areas are in Latin America. They are no more rural than we are here in the states.

  • @TheHumanFiction I don't know what you are try to prove thumbs up for donating

  • I hated the book. The only reason I do not regret reading it is because it got me one step closer towards being an Atheist 24/7. On a side note... CAN you imagine the "Universe trying to conspire what one desires" in a poker game? Or two boys desiring the same woman? It would be a logistical nightmare. But then again, it is not as bad as Coelho believing that ROCKS have SOULS without any evidence at all ! All credibility was lost when I read that detail.
