Thanks so much for uploading this OSM from 1999 ... I've been looking for it for 12 years (no lie) hahaha ... as a CT native, UConn '95 alum, and yes a Duke '00 alum too, this was the best game ever! - had to watch it in my apt in Durham NC alone, and was too busy celebrating and fielding phone calls, to remember to hit 'record' on my VCR

@iStephenReviews Technically this is not the original version. For several years, it was sung by the person who penned it, Dave Barrett. CBS went to the Teddy Pendergrass in 1994 whose version is played with the '99 Huskies montage. Pendergrass was the first professional singer to perform the song...Since then we have had Luther Vandross and Jennifer Hudson also sing it. The original version is sweet but unpolished, Vandross' version is powerful, but Pendergrass' voice to this song is epic!

Thanks for uploading - unlike the current song, this one still gives me chills! Terry Pendergrast's version of 'One Shining Moment' is the best!
Of course, UConn winning the title in 1999 was pretty special too. I'm thrilled they just won their third title last night (over Butler) but, let's call it as it was, a very ugly game even though their run through the tournament was awesome. But the first title game versus Duke was memorable, well-played and legendary! Go HUSKIES!
