by far this is the best exhaust i've heard on a ford ranger yet. i have the same model and i'm trying to get duals on mine.

I have the same truck 98 3.0 and put a flowmaster but no pipe it sounds a little better but not like yours! Saw one of the comments that with no back pressure you will loose power.. What does him mean with back pressure? Want to do the same but now I'm curios..

All of the other vids that I have seen with the straight piped this is hands down the best one yet.

-
dude i fricking LOVE this. i plan to do the exact same thing to mine except have the pipes come out in front of the tire. AWESOME sound for a 3.0

have you had any problems with the truck since you straight piped it? i was gonna do it to mine but i heard it will mess em up if you do it

I just got a 98 ranger extra cab from a friend of mine that owns a tow yard, mine kinda sounds like that too, its a 4.0 litre and in good shape, and i got it for $900, I also got all the tools that the previous owner left in the truck. xD

awesome!! I did this to a bronco 2 with a 2.8 v6 holy crap what a lemon then i rolled it :(

@HarrisRacing177 doofus..... 1998 3.0 flex fuel motor was in 40% of rangers
i appreciate all the feedback.. i have to agree with most of y'all on here tho the low idle is when in it sounds the best once it reaches the high rev you can't escape the v6 tone but as far as all the questions go i bought this truck with the exhaust system as is.. pipes go from the manifold to the 2 cats with no muffler behind it then with the 3 in dual tips.. i had a buddy with a '00 ranger than had no cats with a paired glasspack in front of a flowmaster.. best soundin ranger i've heard
