  • hmm, well i usually salvage all my slide pots from old equalizers. the problem with that is they are usually logarithmic. usually though, the leds can be removed and replaced with other color leds of the same size. if you do decide to hack the pss-130, you should take a look at my pss-30 schematics. i came up with a pretty good battery alarm disable circuit. other stuff too

  • Yeah! Giving it another listen. With my last one I took a lot of RAM based bends and noise/distortion inputs to switch busses, and then used a few pots like you are to 'monitor' one bus or the other with those sensitive feedbacks. I think there was some crazy stuff going on with the voltages in my PSS100 as well, I had to use an oscilloscope finally. I found somebody with a roborouter to cut panels for slide pots, they'll be in the house this winter for sure. Nice work man!!!

  • @MILQUETOASTE nice, i wish i could tell you more about this circuit. there is quite a lot going on in there. know of any good bending forums? all of the ones i know of have died off...

  • Tite, love bending the yammies. I have a stack to work on over the winter.

  • @MILQUETOASTE hey greg! glad to hear you are still bending. yeah, this keyboard has been a real challenge. it really is as stubborn as everyone says...

  • And this sold on ebay for 350 lmao

  • How often do you end up frying the thing you're working on?

  • @elecrtibemx ive read it but i feel like its still to basic, eric archer has a great page on documentation but most of those books are really expensive, almost impossible to buy and hard to download

  • @deathsmileyinc : "handmade electronic music" book!! great, great book. i got it a few days ago and after reading the first 10 pages i learned more then in 1 year experimenting and building different web tutorials. this book is highly reccommended for all beginners (like me)!!!

and awesome tips like: "cover a piezo transducer with a few layers of latex, then swallow it and record yourself while eating a banana ;-))"

i will definetely try something like that! :-)

  • @BrianWilliamGreen: YEP!! great, great book. i got it a few days ago and after reading the first 10 pages i learned more then in 1 year experimenting and build web tutorials. this book is highly reccommended for all beginners (like me)!!!

  • freak!! again you created a big monstermachine. if i look over to the bends and mods i created i could cry. (only a little bit):-)

your skills are really impressive! wonderful device!!

  • Bent? I think that implies that the original circuit is still there.... This looks like you just used the original keyboard.

  • Nice sounds! You could record a whole album with that thing:)

  • @BrianWilliamGreen thanks man, i just started reading and i already love it.
