My wife Debbie and I acquired a piece of gods country ( Lake Manitoba Narrows ) in 2005. These are some pictures set to music showing us clearing and making "The Lot" habitable until we could start construction of our cabin.

That is a fine job done there! I hope you are proud of yourselves. When I get older and retire that is waht I want to do. get a peiece of land out in the middle of no where and just live. Away from all the huslte and bull of everyday life. Awsome! Post the video of the cabin when it is done.

The thing that I like best is you guys used a camp trailer and a tent until you got the cabin up. Man, I wish my wife would let me do that.

The machine belonged to my neighbor and he sold it a year or so back and bought a diesel unit. The older case was a gas job and didn't have the power he required of it.

After you cut the trees on your lot down, how did you get rid of the stumps?

The stumps are simply cut off flush with the ground. Digging stumps is a lot of hard work and very messy.
