Vocal Track Balancing in Pro Tools for tracks and phrases that vary in volume. Here, we use the GAIN plugin and later put a compressor on the vocal channel.

I'm a songwriter, musician and audio engineer living in Seattle. These videos are for anyone who wants to learn more about recording and other music and audio related topics. I use Avid Pro Tools and some outboard gear that includes a Toft ATB console and some UA LA-610's.

My background is in Rock Music, Instrumental Rap and Downtempo Music, and Electronic Music.

I just upgraded to PT 10 myself, and find it to be very similar to 9. So if you want to find out about 10, 9 is a good jump off point for you in my opinion. Keep playing around with it and you'll learn tons in no time. Thanks again!
