Aa Gal Lag Jaa was the best Indian movie ever and Shashi Kapoor to me is the best Indian actor ever. He was a natural and he had the most beautiful smile.

I thought of him just another brother of legendry raj kapoor, who has popular films with amitabh, but man i was wrong his English language films are excellent story his acitng superb, the films like kalyug and 36 chowrangi lane he make are fantastic. I dont know why they only remember him as masala film star and not his parallel cinema contributions, he should be rated as legend of parallel cinema

Great job. Just wanted to add that Shashi Kapoor is the most under-rated Actor / Producer of Indian cinema.
He is the first int'l star from India, who stands tall in the category of either Commercial or Art cinema. His productions like 36 Chowrangi Lane, Junoon, Vijeyta, Kalyug and Utsav still stand unmatched And his acting in Heat and Dust, Sidharath, Householder, Shakespere Walla, Bombay Talkie, Jinnah, In Custody, DharmPutra, New Delhi Times, Deewar make him an Aii Time International Star.

@Taurian63 it is true that SK was under-rated actor/producer but he has millions of fans from different generations and he has always been immensely popular....thanks for the comment....
