Background info: I was [ceremoniously] baptized as an infant, before I ever knew the LORD. It wasn't a profession of faith, as baptisms ought to be, because I had no grasp of that concept even in the most cosmetic sense. Heck, I didn't even know my own name. While I do trust that my parents and entourage performed this act on my behalf with good intentions, the fact remains that no one can decide your will for you. That ritual was entirely for them and meant nothing to me, as how could it?
When I recently accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour, I learned through the testimony of others that being baptized can be a very affirming experience. Although it's not necessary for salvation (see every line of scripture for proof on this subject), it is a visible and powerful statement before God that you commit to serving Him. I'm still young and growing in my faith, but I aspire to wear it on my sleeve, and as such I share this video with anyone inclined to watch it.
