POETIC PILGRIMAGE - LAND FAR AWAY (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)

London based female Hip Hop duo Poetic Pilgrimage release their first music video for the track Land Far Away from their Star Women Mixtape.
The track Land Far Away is a remake of a famous reggae track by the Abyssinians and Poetic Pilgrimage add their unique flavour and sound to it whilst paying homage to their Jamaican roots.
The video was shot in Shepherds Bush which has historical significance to many Caribbean migrants that came to London in the 1950's who endured much hardships so we wouldn't have to.

@Sabz4Real Dude I'm not even a Muslim yet and I know that chess is not Haram. do some research on the principles of Halal and Haram and before you Swear on anything. Dajjal Ha!

If I was to convert to Islam I see I would be hated by many. I have come across so many muslims who point and judge but don't know their religion. So off putting.

@JaneFlowDoe Hi Jane when it comes to music there is a VALID difference of opinion to its permissibility! In such an instant nobody can declare it haram/halal. Furthermore, there is no mention of it being haram in the Qu’ran. Moreover most musical instruments were not invented in the time of Muhammad (pbuh). You hit the nail on the head, there are too many illiterate Muslims declaring halal/haram when they no nothing of the subject matter in most cases in a game of one-upmanship.

@JaneFlowDoe Sami Yousef ( a revent convert to Islam) said that he wouldn't have converted to Islam if he knew Muslims before he learned about Islam. Today, we muslims are a very poor representation of what exactly Islam is and how Islam should be practiced.

If Islam pulls on you, accept it with an unclenching grasp and improve the condition of the ummah.

There are many more, easy going, deeply spiritual, gentle Muslims out there, I promise you. It's just that they're far to busy to post on the internet. But perhaps they should make an effort ;-)

Sorry for bumping into this little debate so late! But sister, "if you converted to Islam" some may be annoyed by your strong will, but I assure you, you would be loved by many more!! I agree, having studied Islam in great depth, with scholars, it is not fair to say chess is haram. Firstly, chess was very much in evolution 1400 yrs ago. It is quite possible the hadith was not authentic, but even if it was, chess has changed lots over centuries and a totally different game now.

"I swear" is a very serious thing for a Muslim. It means you are really really sure about something. For that level of surety, you have to have read and studied a matter.
