alice faye's interpretations of songs is flawless. She is truly not sufficiently recognized for her talent today.

I was born in the wrong era...I've liked Alice Faye since I was a child! From innocent duets with Shirley Temple, to sultry, throaty, drive you crazy singing, she did it all! And those Bambi eyes...

@melodharmony - one of my favorites from this era, along with "100 years from today". Did Mildred Bailey sing both of these songs? I wonder. I know that she sang "100 YFT".

I remember singing this one with the dance bands back in the mists of time.

One of my favorite songs and Alice of course works it to the maximum. She was simply a wonderful singer in every regard--voice, technique, attention to lyrics, mood and attitude. Just watch her facial expressions as she sings ANY song. She is living the story of the song.

@hebneh It was obviously Sparky's Magic Piano

Born to late to appreciate this style of singing but still am enjoying it so much. Her voice does bring out the majic in the lyrics and melody. Thanks for saving this for me.

Well, thank you.
The chorus girl (on the right )from 1.10 -1.12 and from 1.36-1.39 is Alice Faye's sister in Law,actress Bonnie Bannon!
Bannon was a former Busby Berkeley-girl and a Goldwyn girl, who was married for a while to Faye's brother.
Bannon was in movies till the 1950's,then married and retired. She died in 1989.
