The Sukhoi PAK FA is Russia's 5th Generation fighter jet. The T-50 performed its first flight January 29, 2010. Its second flight was on February 6, which is showed in the recently released video. The third one was on February 12. After the first test flight it was given a new look - the jet was painted in the standard clolors of the Russian Air Force.

  • @eag11e Its classic russian doctrine though. They said from the start they would sacrifice stealth for manuverability. Their aim is for low observable , not very low.

The Russians have ALWAYS mantained the dogfight doctrine while the US has always gone for bvr saying the days of dogfighting are gone. Theyve been saying that since the end of ww2 and have been proven wrong every time. It remains to be seen this time. Either way, if you can be objective, theyre both great aircraft.

  • @montedjuro No you are confused. First tankers do not provide "air". They provide Fuel for the fighter jets! Second, pak fart has a low RCS, Stealth rating. Why? Because it's inlets do not hide the compressor blades of the engines. The basketball sized IR dome sticks out and reflects radar waves. The moveable LERXs above the inlets are big reflectors of radar. Large round nozzels set widely apart give huge IR heat signature. For these reasons pak fart is not stealthy.

  • @RamenTouring No one aircraft ain't invisible when do air intake (tanker is visible). Engines of PAK FA are made with compositte materials. Do not worry - T50 is better invisible than F35!

  • i say 70% reverse enginering of F22 and 25% body wise of F22 and 5% mig and russian

  • I think Russia and america should do war games with eachother, both countrys would learn alot from eachothers technology and they would form new alliances.

  • @SpecialEdAllstar Yes, you are correct. The program goals for the next USA Fighter Aircraft the Gen 6 has as one of it's features the ability to be flown by pilot or in drone mode with no pilot. The days of the Fighter Jock are sadly numbered.

  • @Russiasuperpower1 You don't need AI to run them. Human controllers are better suited and easily trained. AI has a long way to go before its on par with even the most junior combat trained pilots. UCAV's are the future and the present. UCAV's get the majority of the funding. Manned flight is at its twilight and will soon be a distant memory. Once AI catches up human controllers will be a memory as well.

  • @daywalker6260 how did they go American
