  • @Beadbud5000 Beautifully put.

  • @postelworker22 woah man I wasn't even referring to you, I never compared you to chapman at all. Idk what the hell your talking about

  • @CosmicOrange1 I sound like Chapman huh?You sound completely judgmental. You sound like your dream is over.Lennon would have hated that. To compare me to a cold blooded killer who took a more than a great talent off the face of the earth is delusional.Maybe you sound like Mark David himself.

  • @Postelworker22 You sound like Lennon's killer, David Chapman. In an interview, he said, "I would listen to this music and I would get angry at him, for saying that he didn't believe in God... and that he didn't believe in the Beatles. This was another thing that angered me, even though this record had been done at least 10 years previously. I just wanted to scream out loud, 'Who does he think he is, saying these things about God and heaven and the Beatles? Saying he didn't believe in Jesus."

  • I'd rather have a peace/love making person who denies Gods existence than someone who believes in God but is a sinner or hypocrite. Being a Christian myself, it's not always what you say but rather how you act.

  • You can say what you want about Lennon whether he believed in God or not, but they way John Lennon lived his life and the ideals he preached such as peace, unity, harmony, and love certainly resemble Christ and he attempted to make the world the way God intended it to be.

  • @Postelworker22 What's wrong with not believing in Jesus or the Bible?

  • dont believe in beatles.. dont believe in lennon

  • @Beadbud5000 That's why I like this song so much because few songs touch on this subject that I know of and that actually sound good.

  • @RSGCMA6 John's song is saying that these things (idols- from Hitler to Jesus) are not relevant DIRECTLY to an individual as the SINGULAR source toward salvation, peace, love, and dreams.

More like Ram Das in his book Be Here Now. Ultimately, we should try to believe in ourselves. "Belief" is completely subjective.
