Astrology Is Wrong

Jim and Vince are sciency folks, and the rest of The Long Holidays, while not scientists, think science is important and interesting. Although astrology is arguably harmless, it is pervasive, it compromising to reason and scientific inquiry, and contributes to a superstitious mentality based off of arbitrary stereotypes. So while this song is silly, we are kind of serious in standing up for a worldview based off of facts and logic.

i agree with the daily horoscopes being completely full of crap. but seeing one's personality traits and spiritual numbers dealing with that person always seems to work. planets do effect us in many ways. the only reason horoscopes are wrong is becuz a computer is givin u the reading. try visiting a human being that does this and you will change the song to astrology is right.

@MultiAlieninvasion I'm not going to change the song any time soon. The reason that Zodiac personalities SEEM to be accurate is not because they are, but because we are hard-wired to accept information that CONFIRMS what we already think. That's why math and science are so important to society. They break that pattern to show us the truth. As a truth seeker, I hope you'll see astrology for the scam it is. You can improve your life and understand your world best with critical thinking.

@skchowmusic Thanks Steven. I've been influenced by a lot of other great scientist songwriters lately. I'm definitely trying to do more of this kind of thing.

By the way, is anything musical going on in the Bay area in mid or late August. I may be blowing through town on my way back from Montana and Portland.

@TheLongHolidays your totally right, thats wat astrology is. numbers adding together. but this goes back in ancient times. i do believe some are scams. but some are true. like i stated before, the computer astrology are b.s. ive gotten mine from a human and it changed my mind about it. but not in u.s.a their are alot of frauds here. u can tap into this threw critical thinking as well. but having a human know everything bout u just by adding numbers and knowing ur past and future as well. think..
