Meeting Marc-Andre Fleury

Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was kind enough to stop by the BC Sports store at Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh on Nov. 2nd, in order to sign autographs for an unbelievably long line of fans (seriously - the line stretched along the walls through most of the mall). My sister and I finally met Flower after waiting for one and a half hours, and it was a special experience for me because he's my favorite Penguin.

Yeah, the penguin has the number 29 on the back, and above it, we glued a strip of material for him to sign, to make it easier.

D: Your BC Sports closed, too? The one in my local mall also shut down, I wonder if they're not getting much business around here. That's pretty odd, since Pittsburgh teams are so in-demand...

I was still in Ross Park around the time Fleury's session ended. If only I had known, though, that he was walking around...! :'(

Don't you love that he can't pronounce "rivalry?" :D He has to ask Dan Potash to say it for him.

I really cherish this experience, although I will admit that I'd love to do this again just because next time I'll have the courage to say hello!

I got a puck from Flower at an Islanders game...He is the best! I had a sign that asked for a puck and Fleury was the only one awesome enough to give me one (I also got one from the trainer but out of the player Flower). BEST GAME EVER BTW Sid scored goals #50 and 51! Darn you Stamkos.

It's too bad BC closed down, I worked there for all of the signings, and Marc-Andre was one of our better ones, he always has a good turnout. This was a pretty fun day, he even walked outside of the store after our private session was done to give high fives and hugs to everyone.
