Part 3 of 6 for this series, clip 1 of 2 for this part. Every year auto repair facilities discard thousands of aerosol cans. This bulky, non-biodegradable, and possibly hazardous waste fills landfill space. Aerosol products can be replaced by aqueous products in pressurized, metal, refillable spray bottles. These are a cost effective alternative to aerosol cans. Refillable spray bottles are filled with bulk product, pressurized with compressed air, and used like an aerosol can. When using these bottles be sure to avoid spills, keep replacement parts on hand, use compressed air to remove clogs, check for product compatibility with the bottle, label all bottles, and keep bottles stored in chemical lockers when not in use.
