What do beer and alcohol have to do with gnosis and shamanism? Everything. In fact, they are a major part of understanding the ancient mysteries and religions like the ancient and heavily psychoactive beer made by the Catholic brewers Gruit, and the aqua vitae.

And were the German and other beer purity laws, the Reinheitsgebot, created to keep the beer pure? Or were they laws created by the protestants to keep psychoactive plants out?

Did the white man bring alcohol to the New World? Or were shamans brewing for centuries?

In this episode I interview Stephen Buhner, who is, in my opinion, one of the worlds leading experts in this field. Buhner is author of, amongst many other books, Sacred and Herbal Healing Beers: The Secrets of Ancient Fermentation.

  • A cunning runt is exposed by the distinct odor that permeates when it mixes with the (same old) shit. " P.U."

  • @kaiagavin The moron doesn't even know that it's listener sponsored media. Pathetic.

  • @kaiagavin see if you're smart enough to focus on the facts of the research presented rather than resorting to empty, fallacious, circumstantial ad hominem attacks that bear nothing to the actual video, interview, guest, or guest's book. I also recommend you study critical thinking and logic so that you can remove all of these logical fallacies from your thought processes. Running such muck in your brain is no better than running a virus on your computer. You end up with nonsense - like "P.U."

  • @kaiagavin In what way does making a living invalidate anything presented? Please provide specific, point by point errors with citations of exactly how the info is wrong. I find it rather revealing that you need to resort to fallacious attacks when it's pointed out that you didn't actually hear the interview or read the book and you're just reacting emotionally via ignorance - argumentum ad ignorantium. You're obviously afraid of having your beliefs challenged. Try not to be so attached to them.

  • "You're obviously afraid of having your beliefs challenged. Try not to be so attached to them." Sound familiar? Dick.

  • @GnosticMedia You can pretend you're not a dick all you want but you still treat people like shit all over these comment sections and act like you're special. You make off the mark comments all the time, just read what some of you're replies are. Only you're history is correct, only you verify information right?

You're not special, you're not above anyone. Get over yourself.

  • @ACLogikel When I've checked something, I know the research. I have a systematic process to verify info. Do you? Rogan called days before and wanted to dumb down the interview intentionally. I received over 600 complaint emails about his performance. I don't use red herrings and off mark comments in a sorry attempt to make an argument, as you here. Pointing out people's fallacies, or lies, does not make one a dick... except to those who utilize such fallacies themselves...

  • @GnosticMedia Why are you such a dick to people for being such an enlightened person? Someone disagrees with you and act like your information is infallible. I've been following your work for a long time and it's very clear what type of person you are. There's a reason Rogan tried to shut your yap and get you to chill. He wasn't even hostile to you and you jumped down his throat..

But his opinions on history are completely irrelevant. And of course yours are not. Write another book maybe?

  • Ahh.. Like mead of poetic inspiration.

  • @GnosticMedia whatever dude

  • @GnosticMedia i try not to believe in anything knowing how silly and changeable beliefs are. the effects of booze are not my opinions but they do sadden me. and so do you.
