it's funny how people complain how this has been sampled so much, it's so fuckin good that's why its been sampled so much...it's not that its been overused it just moves different producers in different ways to the point where they flip it differently. its more like giving props to cortex themselves if anything

Not to mention rap producers sample each OTHER all of the time. Plus, even ignoring all of this, the song that was sampled was on a free-release album (essentially a mixtape that's really an album) and Tyler doesn't really take too much credit for the production of the song in the first place.
Tyler's a creative ass dude capable of making his own beats. He doesn't need to sample off of other people, and when he does, it's more like a homage.
