The new ren and stimpy is for adults, not the old one.
Especially because the old one was on Nickelodeon, and not at night. If it was for adults, it wouldn't have run on a kids station, at a time when kids were watching.
And there were still some kids shows in the 80's that had logical plots.
Though I will agree that as a whole the 90's did have better cartoons, but the eighties weren't entirely bad.

Hold on a second! Ren and Stimpy was an adult Cartoon, not for children. To be more clear, children's cartoons were guided towards a healthy lifestyle in the nineties in response the the era of decadence that was the eighties. This is why I chose to say "Cartoons in the nineties were a lot better and had more logical plots!".

Ren and Stimpy had a logical plot?
I think every decade since the 60's had cartoons with good plots, and ones without.
