Love your van! I have a pair of them, a 72 with a slant 6 and manual transmission, and a 77 with a 318 and automatic, and love them both to death! but I think I've got you beat with the rust, we've got plenty of that up here in New England. the 77 is nearly rust free, but the 72 is not so lucky. too bad, because that one gets over 20 mpg, compared with my all-time best of 14 in the 77. keep having fun with it!

one year later....wowwww.....I got 10 miles per on mine and drove from boston to seattle...LA and back......I spent 250 bucks from Springfield Mass to LA via Seattle.I better stop drinkin if its been one whole year since I came here.....hahahah and I aint even smoked a doobie yet.....did do some H tho.hahahahahahahahahahahah

I got hold of a '74 the other day. Just today I blasted a few pounds of garbage out of the carb. It'll be on the road shortly. Fun stuff.
