I bought a double album in the mid 70's called "The Roy Wood Story" EMI/Harvest OC 180 o 06054-5. It has 25 tracks from Mike Sheridans Lot, The Move, ELO, Wizzard and Roy Wood "Solo" Going to burn it onto CD.
hm. i just listened to the Idle Race version of "(Here We Go Round) The Lemon Tree" and it's exactly like the Move version but slightly more muffled. Roy and Jeff have similar voices.
And i do love a band who has three different solo vocalists in one song...
Brilliant sound from the 60s psychedelic era. The Move were the best group around at that time, but were very under rated. Far better than The Who.Roy Wood is one of the best song writers and musicians ever.
Brilliant
this blew my mind as a 7yr old !!!!
